All my life I struggled with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy that held me back. My choices always seemed to lack conviction and I always took the predictable, low-key route. This was especially true in my dating world. Anxiety has always been an issue for me. It can be such a painful experience to live with an anxiety disorder, and until you have, you can’t possibly understand what a significant impact it has on your entire life.
As a direct result of my anxiety, I settled for a low-paying job that didn’t put me in the spotlight or challenge me too much. I found it difficult to date or venture out of my comfort zone to meet intelligent men worthy of my time. I ended up getting married to a man who completely took advantage of me. I began having cycles of depression in conjunction with my bouts of anxiety. He was great at using my anxiety as a tool to control me.
One day, I had just had enough. I decided I wanted to change my life and get out from under the crippling anxiety and depression symptoms. A friend of mine told me there was help for me and led me to The Way Up. Thank you, Dr. Priscilla Slagle. You literally saved my life and kept me from making more bad decisions. I am no longer my ex-husband’s enabler. Emotionally, I am stronger than I have ever been. I am working toward a bachelor’s degree in nursing, which is an area that I have always been interested in. I have my own apartment and my own dog, Rex. I’m taking things a day at a time, but I really feel like Dr. Slagle’s free e-book on the site prompted at least some of this transformation. I am also using the herbal supplements and nutritional supplements available on The Way Up.
It is interesting to me now to see my life from a different perspective. For so many years I wasn’t really living life. I wasn’t an active participant. I just existed from day to day. That’s not how anyone should live. Each and every one of us has something to offer in this world. It’s about finding your inner balance and realizing who you are and who you want to be. The Way Up can really help you along that journey, which will last you a lifetime. It is OK to change. It is safe to look at life in new ways. It is OK to step outside your comfort zone and see what is out there. If you have anxiety and/or depression, I really hope you will check out this site.
